A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of our successful Service department based in Bristol. As Commercial Gas Heating Service Engineer you will be part of the team focussed on service, maintenance and breakdowns throughout our thriving client base, covering the local area, Bath, Swindon and Gloucester.

We are not looking to just ‘fill a role’, we’re looking for a solid, skilled engineer who takes pride in their work and wantst o be part of a strong team long term.

 

The Company

We are privately-owned mechanical services company specialising in heating, plumbing, rainwater and architectural products, air conditioning, and renewable technologies. We offer a complete range of solutions from the design, installation and servicing of commercial systems to the regular service and repair of domestic units.

 

The Role

You will be largely self-managed and involved with working in Natural Gas, LPG, and Oil mainly on commercial and industrial sites, carrying out fault finding, maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing. There are also some smaller elements of domestic work required for our loyal private client base.

 

The Candidate

  • Should have previous experience within a similar role
  • Should be qualified in commercial & domestic natural gas
  • Experience in oil and LPG advantageous
  • Holding certification in any additional field, i.e. COMCAT, F-GAS, etc would be beneficial
  • Hold current CSCS card
  • Hold DBS dated within 3 years, or be willing for an enhanced DBS check to be carried out
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Must hold full valid UK drivers licence
  • Must be fit and healthy to carry out a wide range of physical activities
  • Comfortable with time management

 

The Qualifications

Essential

  • Commercial natural gas: CDGA1, CORT1, CIGA1, CODNC01, ICPN1, TPCP1 / 1A
  • Domestic natural gas: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET

Desired

  • LPG: CONGL1PD
  • Oil: OFTEC 101, 105E, 600a
  • Plumbing/Heating: HWSS (incl. G3)

 

The Offer

  • £45k – £54k pa, negotiable depending on experience and certification
  • 40 hours p/w + OT opportunities
  • Weekly on-call rota of 1/5 with a £100 standby fee
