OHS as a business is committed to not only utilise local suppliers and other businesses within the locality wherever possible but, we are also extremely proud to support a number of charities and initiatives throughout Bristol and beyond, playing our part to give back to the community.
Recently we’ve sponsored tracksuits for the Almondsbury U9’s football team who currently play in the Hanham Minor League across Bristol. Almondsbury FC have a great youth set up with a fantastic group of players covering all ages from school reception, up through to U18’s and into seniors. #upthealmonds
We have been extremely proud to support and sponsor a number of off field events for Egg Chasers Rugby, an invitational rugby team raising much needed funds and awareness for MND. Our last aftermatch event, held at Lydney RFC, raised £2.4k, an amazing feat.
Staying on the theme of rugby, OHS are also proud to be involved as part of the sponsorship for the MND Barbarians, an invitational vets rugby team made up with players and ex-pro’s from Egg Chasers Rugby, 4Ed Foundation, and My Name’5 Doddie. The game will be played at The Hartpury Stadium in May 2025 against the Matt Ratana Mauranders, again, full of ex pro’s, in what should be a great spectale of rugby whilst raising money for all charties invovled.
The brilliant ‘Cargonauts’ from Heywood Prep School, Corsham, participated at the first ever ‘World Lego League’ competition held over in Texas, USA where they were judged on their building expertise in front of a panel of judges. OHS were privileged to support them ensuring the team had an experience to remember and support their journey and future career into engineering.
We’ve also played a part in supporting the Farrington Gurney Primary School and Radstock Silver Band in their Christmas Carols by Candlelight event. A fantastic Christmassy evening raising money for the benefit of the school and children’s learning environment.
OHS firmly believe events and causes outside of the working environment have a big impact on our lives and wherever possible, we look to support those close to our heart.
