OHS provided mechanical services design and assessed a wide range of heating options for the project. In the end, the team opted for a pair of efficient gas boilers made by Atag commercial range, one of the complications we found is that we had to make sure we were compliant with combustion air requirements, so a dedicated fresh air supply duct was installed in line with manufacturer’s guidelines.
We fitted a MegaFlo EcoPlus unvented hot water cylinder to ensure we achieved a quick hot water recovery turn around.
Installed an Air cooling to cinema room and wine cellar, a combination of bespoke cast iron radiators and tubular steel radiators, with specific RAL colours, and a wet underfloor heating system, all meeting client’s expectations.
Bespoke fabricated water storage tank and booster set to make sure the delivery of water was in line with the demand of the property at anytime – The property required a quiet and compact water boosting solution to meet the varied demands of the residents. The system needed to be designed to cope with very low usage and then very high demand of multiple bathrooms in use at the same time, including water softener to ensure a long lifespan of appliances and equipment.
Smart controls system with remote App connectivity was installed to all areas and paired up with Loxone system to work in conjunction with lighting, blinds and much more.
Working around a Grade II listed building is never easy, we had to keep a constant flow of communication with the main contractor, architect and client to ensure that the mechanical & electrical services were installed in such a way that the building heritage was always a priority
